Blue Point is in Session today - 3/28/17

The power has been restored at Blue Point School sooner than expected, therefore there will be classes at Blue Point School today, Tuesday, March 28th.

Incoming Kindergarten Registration and Screening Happening Now!

Scarborough Public Schools is registering and screening all children are or will be 5 years old by Oct. 15, 2017 this week at Wentworth School. If you do not have an appointment or need to cancel or change an appointment, please call any of the three primary schools.
  • Eight Corners: 730-5200
  • Blue Point: 730-5300
  • Pleasant Hill: 730-5250
Appointments are Monday-Thursday, 8:30-1:45. If there are any weather related delays or school cancellations, we will reschedule for Friday, March 31st at the same time. If you are unable to make that appointment, please contact one of the numbers above.

4th Community Dialogue

Thank you to the staff, students, parents, Leadership team, School Board members, Town Councilors, town leaders, community members and all attendees who participated in our 4th Community Dialogue!  Together we made this dialogue a tremendous success!  Your input, ideas, exchanges, and questions were thoughtful, meaningful and creative - all will be used to help us develop and build our next improvement plan.

As the saying goes - "it takes a village to raise a child" - and it takes a committed and dedicated community to assist us in the very important task of ensuring that ALL Scarborough students reach their fullest potential.

Scarborough Public Schools (SPS) is very excited to share their first episode of
“Inside Scarborough Public Schools.”  This is a new communication tool that will shared with our staff, students and stakeholders.  Our goal is to break down the walls of our schools so that we can communicate with one another and our community all of the amazing events that are happening across the district.  Our first episode was filmed at Wentworth School.  Please take a minute to watch the show.  Also, if you see Eric Huntington (SHS Video Teacher), please thank him for his great filming and editing work!

"The Mask You Live In" - TONIGHT - March 1, 2017

Maine Boys to Men and Scarborough High School 
are co-hosting a 
screening of the film "The Mask You Live In"It will be held on March 1, 2017, at Scarborough High School in the Winslow Homer Center for the Arts from 6:30-8:30PM. Doors will open at 6:00PM.  Pre-registration is not required.

Please join us 
to watch this important film and discuss how communities can work together to make a difference, not only in boys lives, but society as a whole.

Kindergarten Information Night

We will be hosting a Kindergarten Information Night for all incoming Kindergarten parents on 
February 28, 2017 in the Wentworth School Cafeteria at 6:00 pm.  If your child will be 5 on or before October 15, 2017, please plan to attend.
The program will cover the basics of how to register your child for school, the screening process and other general information for coming to school.

2017 Pre-Registration Link to pre-register and make a screening appointment.  ​
Screening appointments will be held MondayThursday, March 27th-30th.  Registration packets will be available at Kindergarten Information Night or you can download them with the attached file.  Please complete the Parent Homework form to submit with your registration packet.  If applicable, you may also complete and submit the Kindergrten Kamp Student Application.
