June 21st - Hopefully Last Day of School

Assuming that we will have no more snow days, or any other issues which would prevent us from attending school this year, the last day for Scarborough staff and students is set for June 21st.  This will be a half day for students and a full day for staff.

Annual Junior Trivia Bee - April 10th

The 4th Annual Junior Trivia Bee is 
Tuesday, April 10th at Wentworth School. Doors open at 6:30pm, competition starts at 7:00pm. More than 25 teams of Scarborough Middle School Students will compete in this event which is a Builders Club/Kiwanis fundraiser benefiting Project GRACE. Spectators welcome!

Maine Band Directors Concert Band Festival - 3/27 & 3/28

Image result for musical instrumentsOn Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday, March 28 Scarborough High School will be hosting the “Maine Band Directors Concert Band Festival”.  This year we have 30 bands (about 1400 students) performing over the two days.  All three of the SHS Bands (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble) will be performing (4pm, 6pm and 8pm).

Each band will be judged against standards in the categories Performance Fundamentals, Technical Preparation, Musical Effect, and Programming/Presentation.  

 Mark your calendar – this is sure to be an impressive musical event!

2018-2019 School Start Times Adjusted Calendar

At the March 26th Special School Board meeting, the School Board voted to approve the compromised school start times for the 2018-2019 school year as follows:
K-5 start time - 8:50 a.m.
6-12 start time - 8:00 a.m.

Special School Board Meeting- 3/26/2018

As discussed at the March 15th school board meeting, there will be a special meeting of the school board on Monday, March 26th for the board to have a second reading of policy - ID-R - Instructional Day Regulations. This meeting will be in Town Hall beginning at 7:00pm.
