It's hard to believe that it is getting close to the start of another school year!  Many of our staff have been busy this summer getting ready for the 2018-19 school year.  We are very anxious to greet our students!  We hope you all had a restful and relaxing summer and are energized and excited to start school.

2018-2019 Bus Schedule

The 2018-2019 Bus Schedule is now available.  Please note that there are two tabs listing the bus runs - (1) K-5 bus sequence tab and (2) 6-12 bus sequence tab.  Please contact the Bus Department or Central Office if you have any questions.

NEASC Accreditation

Scarborough High School recently completed a NEASC Accreditation Process.  The Committee on Public Secondary Schools of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) has released the Scarborough High School Decennial Report.  A copy of that report is attached to this communication as well as a letter that outlines the process.

Major Capital School Construction Program - Rating Scale

Attached please find the results from the Maine Capital School Construction applications that were filed earlier this year with the State of Maine for Blue Point School, Eight Corners School, Pleasant Hill School and the Middle School.

Vaping: The Target is Our Teens

A group of 4 panelists led a very informative and educational presentation on vaping - especially in regards to our teens - on Thursday, May 31st.  For those who could not attend, please review the slideshows for their complete presentation.  Including in the slideshow are several available resources for further information.

Last Day of 2017-2018 School Year

It's looking like the last day of school for Scarborough staff and students will be June 21st.  This will be a half day for students and a full day for staff.

Dismissal times are as follows:
High School - 10:35am
Middle School - 10:45am
Wentworth - 11:20am
Primary Schools - 12:00pm

In conjunction with MaineHealth Learning Resource Center, Scarborough will be offering an informational class on the youth epidemic of e-cigarettes (also known as JUUL and vaping) called "Vaping: The Target is our Teens" on Thursday, May 31st at Scarborough High School from 5:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.  Join us to get your questions answered so you can be better prepared to talk to the teens in your life.
