Landfall for the Red Storm is imminent!

Scarborough Schools’ four-foot unmanned, drift boat which was launched off the coast of Portsmouth, NH in the fall, is now expected to land in Ireland in the next few days. Prior to the launch, the “i-boat” as it is called, was on display in all schools and students learned about the I-boat and how to track its progress.

Below is the link to the map which displays the path it has taken from the coast of Portsmouth, NH to Ireland. The link also contains more information about Educational Passages, our partner in this project.

Click here to view a map of the the boat's journey (the path of the Red Storm is the mauve colored line).

Update: the Red Storm made landfall on July 31 on Arranmore island, Ireland by Irish students (see photo at left). Visit the Educational Passages Red Storm page for updates.
