In 2018, the Maine Department of Education published the Final Priority List.
In the 2017-2018 rating cycle, 74 schools applied for funding. The Department creates a list of projects—the project with the greatest need is ranked #1, followed by the projects with lesser needs. The Scarborough schools ranked as follows:
34. Eight Corners Elementary
35. Pleasant Hill School
49. Blue Point School
59. Scarborough Middle School

As projects are approved for funding the Maine Department of Education publishes the “Approved Project List”.
As of August 2022, the State Board of Education has approved 5 projects for funding on the 2017-2018 priority list. These were approved between October 9, 2019 and November 4, 2020. As of August 2022, all five projects are in design and have not been constructed. As indicated in the Summary of State-subsidized construction projects process, the Board funds as many projects from the list as available debt limit funds allow.
For comparison, the 2010-2011 was the last rating cycle, which had 71 projects on the “Final Priority List” and 16 projects on the “Approved Project List” that were approved between January 11, 2012 and September 14, 2016.
